🌱 Our story

From seed to forest: the VidaVerde journey

From a small urban garden to a community that inspires thousands, every step has been a conscious move towards a greener future.

In 2018, a group of friends began meeting on weekends to cultivate a garden on a rooftop downtown. What started as a hobby soon became a collective project: sharing knowledge about organic farming, reducing waste, and promoting local biodiversity. In 2020, we launched our first free guide to sustainable habits, which was downloaded more than 5,000 times in three months.

Two years later, we inaugurated the first "Green Point" in the neighborhood, a space for seed exchange, composting workshops, and home advisory. Today, VidaVerde collaborates with six municipalities, has planted more than 2,000 native trees, and is part of an Ibero-American network of ecological transition initiatives. Every decision, from choosing local suppliers to measuring our carbon footprint, reinforces the idea that small collective changes generate great transformations.

Frequently asked questions about sustainable living

Clear and practical answers to start your ecological transition without complications.

Where do I start if I want to be more sustainable?

Start with small changes: reduce single-use plastics, choose local and seasonal products, and opt for active mobility or public transport. You don't need a radical transformation overnight.

Is it expensive to lead an eco-friendly lifestyle?

Not necessarily. Many sustainable practices, such as cooking at home, repairing items instead of buying new ones, or growing your own herbs, can save you money in the long run. The key is to prioritize quality over quantity.

How can I reduce my carbon footprint at home?

You can start by adjusting the thermostat, using LED bulbs, taking advantage of natural light, and separating waste for recycling. It is also useful to review water consumption and opt for efficient appliances.

What does "responsible consumption" really mean?

It means choosing products that respect the environment and labor rights, avoiding excess packaging, buying only what you need, and supporting local and ethical businesses. It is an act of awareness with every purchase.

Can climate change be slowed down with individual actions?

Every action counts, but real change also requires collective pressure for governments and companies to adopt sustainable policies. Your daily decisions inspire others and show that a green future is possible.

How can I involve my family in green habits?

Make it fun: organize nature outings, cook seasonal recipes together, create an urban garden, or play recycling games. Explain the benefits simply and celebrate every small achievement to keep motivation high.
